After playing the the Toronto Blue Jays farm system for several years, Chris Weinke decided to go back to school to play football for the Seminoles. During his junior season in 1999, he led the #1-ranked Seminoles to the school’s first undefeated season and second national title. As a senior in 2000, Weinke led the nation in passing and won the Heisman Trophy, as well as the Davey O’Briaen and Johnny Unitas Awards.

Eventually, the Carolina Panthers drafted Chris Weinke in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
